Spin crossover phenomenon accompanying order-disorder phase transition in the ligand of [[Fe.sup.II](DAPP)(abpt)][(Cl[O.sub.4]).sub.2] compound (DAPP = bis(3-aminopropyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, abpt = 4-amino-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole) and its successive self-grinding effect
Article Abstract:
The spin crossover phenomenon of the spin crossover complex [[Fe.sup.II](DAPP)(abpt)][(Cl[O.sub.4]).sub.2] compound (DAPP = bis(3-aminopropyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, abpt = 4-amino-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole) accompanying an order-disorder phase transition of the ligand is examined. The [Fe(DAPP)(abpt)][(Cl[O.sub,4]).sub.2] crystal has indicated that the crystal crashed and became smaller after passing through the spin crossover transition.

Heat capacities of the S= 1/2 two dimensional Heisenberg Antiferromagnet Bis(2-amino-5-chloropyridinium) tetrabromocuprate (II) [(5CAP)(sub 2)CuBr(Sub 4)] and its Diamagnetic Analogue [(5CAP)(sub 2)ZnBr(sub 4)]
Article Abstract:
Heat capacities of the spin quantum number S=1/2 two dimensional heisenberg antiferromagnet bis(2-amino-5-chloropyridinium) tetrabromocuprate(II) [(5CAP)2CuBr4] crystal and its nonmagnetic analogue, the bis(2-amino-5-chloropyridinium) tetrabromozincate(II0 [(5CAP)2ZnBr4] crystal by adiabatic calorimetry are measured. The (5CAP)(sub 2)CuBr(sub 4) crystal is in a three-dimensional antiferromagnetic state.

Low-temperature heat capacity and glassy behavior of lysozyme crystal
Article Abstract:
Heat capacities of tetragonal hen egg-white lysozyme crystals containing different amounts of water are measured in the temperature region between 8 and 300 K. A broad glass transition was observed at about 150 K fro the crystals with more than 24.0 wt % water content.
